The Wabash River rises in the northeastern part of Indiana, and running first a southwestern, and then a south course, it enters the Ohio about miles above its mouth.
It is a beautiful stream, and at high water is navigated by steam boats as far as Logansport in Indiana. It is located on the west side of where the W Dunlapsville Bridge (Dunlapsville Causeway) crosses Brookville Lake (on the E Fork of the Whitewater River), at the northern end of the lake in the southwestern part of the county, AIR miles southwest of Liberty and miles west of Roseburg.
